Abstract
This article examines the road safety situation in India and finds areas where overall
harm caused by collisions may be significantly and easily decreased. This article focuses on
two topics: road accident statistics and the causes of road accidents. The first section of the
paper presents a thorough examination of current statistics on road accidents in India.
According to the data, the death rate has climbed in recent years. According to these figures,
the number of fatalities in India is unlikely to decrease for many years unless new laws are
introduced. The second section of the article provides a quick overview of the major causes of
road accidents in India
